Finalized the appointment of the new Board of Directors. Now former president, Jay Johnson, prepared a farewell speech for the entire organization. The following is a brief part of his speech: "To all my fellow club members, it has been a wonderful time serving as your president over the last 3 years. My journey has come to a close, but we will meet again."

The new board of directors, led by incoming president Alwin Low laid out some expectations and rules to be followed.
i. No drinking
ii. Always be respectful.
iii. Always have fun

Finalized the organization of the social party. Started ironing out details such as the budget and timeslot. Nelson Sim was chosen to lead the project and was tasked with inspecting the venue. Full report on that expected today.

Note: It was an emotional day for everyone involved.

Creation of Flyers

Flyers would serve as a good way to introduce the club to old and new students alike. Physical flyers could be taped on seats in classrooms and on bulletin boards to raise awareness about the club. Person in Charge: Thomas Kay

Reserving the University Banquet Hall

After personally inspecting the venue, the University Banquet Hall seems like the perfect place to hold the social party as it can accomodate a large number of people as well as being under budget. Person in Charge: Nelson Sim & Chris Lai

Discussions currently ongoing with the Photography Club & Breakdance Club

Discussions with these 2 clubs have been proceeding according to plan. We can move forward and start reaching out to the Music Club. Person in Charge: Simon Wolkner & Tyler Lee

Summary

The president was really delighted he could become the president of the club and ensured that this is only the beginning of a wonderful journey together.

Miscellaneous Comments

Jason Rodriguez said that we should organized a farewell party for previous board of directors. This could also act as an introduction to the new board of directors. Everyone agreed with this proposal and the details will be dealt with in the next meeting.

Tyler Lee said that he was going to be away for a week so he would not be able to attend the next meeting. He offered his apologies for the late notice.
